On the afternoon of November 1, the opening ceremony of CSBT science education base on blood transfusion was launched in Lanzhou, Gansu province.

President ZHU Yongming attended the ceremony and expressed his congratulations. He presented that CSBT is the only national professional social organization in the blood transfusion industry, aimed at uniting all peers across the country, offering advice and assistance to government and health departments，serving society, the industry, and its member institutions，thereby enhancing industry development, ensuring blood supply and safety. Among a series of projects that serve society and its members, Partnership Program is quite significant. Launched in 2018, the program is keen on encouraging, assisting and promoting well-prepared members to publicize blood safety, blood transfusion history and typical characters among society and citizens by all forms, thus creating a better atmosphere for voluntary blood donation.

Gansu Blood Science Popularization base, covering an area of 570m2, is divided into 10 themed exhibition areas, such as Preface, Song of Life, Blood Mystery, Love Dedication, Historical Footprint, Root and Spirit, Innovation and Development, Bounded Love and Entrusted Life. Modern technologies such as graphic and textual display, multimedia interaction, human sensing system, and VR are used to present knowledge related to blood physiology, blood collection process, scientific blood donation and transfusion, blood transfusion history, relevant laws, offering viewers field experience and interaction.
