In 2020, all the 24 branch committees of CSBT have done a lot in institution-building, responsibilities and innovation, thus promoting the development of their respective professional fields and supporting CSBT to complete its annual work plan.

All the branch committees timely submitted sessional archival materials from 2017 to 2020, and reported annual summaries and plans. Over the past year, all of them have been updating their websites and news, and 11 of them posted at least 5 articles on their own website.

Branch committees and their members have been actively providing professional suggestions to CSBT, and have participated in many activities, such as the compilation of Annual Report on Development of China’s Blood Collection and Supply Industry (2020) and the application for the 2020 WEGO scientific research fund. There are 16 branch committees participated in the evaluation of group standards. Eighteen branch committees have completed projects of holistic importance to strengthen cooperation and communication among committees. Furthermore, Education Committee, Working Party on Clinical Transfusion(CSBT/BT), and Working Party on Haemovigilance have undertaken professional meetings in respective field. And CSBT/BT has especially held a training course for technicians from rural areas. Working Party on Blood Donation Mobilization has designed and released 7 groups of 19 posters, and completed atlas about Fight against the pandemic, Donate Blood for Love. Working Party on Blood Donation Service held the 2^nd Recommendation of the most beautiful & smart blood donation site in China.

2020 is an extraordinary year. Gratitude is expressed to all the branch committees for overcoming difficulties and cooperating with the association to complete the tasks.
