Prof. Sandra Nance, Director of the American Red Cross’ Immunohematology Lab visited Shanghai Blood Center (SBC) on Sep 6th, 2017.
Prof. Nance is the Senior Director of the Immunohematology Lab of American Red Cross, which is in charge of the American National Blood Group Reference Lab, more than 45 Immunohematology Labs in the USA, and the American National Project of Rare Blood Donors. She is also an associate professor of the Transfusion Medicine and Therapy Department at the University of Pennsylvania.
Prof. Nance is the former Chairman of the Working Party of Rare Donors, the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT), and established the new Working Party of Immunohematology of ISBT.
This time, the important arrangement of Prof. Nance to visit Shanghai was to give a lecture titled as ‘Decision the Clinical Significance of Irregular Antibodies’ for the 150th Round ‘Immunohematology Class’ hosted by SBC.
