On April 18, the Exchange Colloquium of Provincial and Municipal Societies of Blood Transfusion was held in Hubei. It was organized by CSBT, and co-hosted by Hubei Society of Blood Transfusion (HBBT), attracting representatives from institutional entities at all levels across 21 provinces. This event centered on in-depth discussions regarding management innovation and service efficiency. The opening ceremony was chaired by Yu Xuehua, president of HBBT.

Firstly, ZHU Yongming, president of CSBT, conveyed appreciation for the support from all sectors. He provided an overview of a series of events scheduled to be hosted by CSBT in the first half of the year, including the National Blood Transfusion Research Conference, the National Blood Establishment Management Congress, and the livestream of the World Blood Donor Day light show. He emphasized that domestic blood transfusion societies should share the same objective to advance the development of blood industry.

ZHANG Xiufeng, Vice Mayor of Shiyan Municipal Government, noted that Shiyan maintains the highest blood donation rate per thousand population among all cities in Hubei Province. Having been recognized as the National Advanced City in Voluntary Blood Donation for 16 consecutive years, the city aims to utilize this conference as an opportunity to enhance the development of local blood transfusion services.

YANG Wenbo, Director of the Blood Management Center under Hubei Provincial Health Commission, introduced the achievements of blood donation in Hubei and expressed a strong commitment to deepening collaboration with all stakeholders to promote the advancement of the industry.

Moreover, representatives from Zhejiang, Shandong, Chongqing, Hubei, and other regions shared their work experiences. And work achievements and future challenges have been exchanged during the event. In his closing remarks, president ZHU affirmed the effectiveness of the conference, which provides an avenue for promoting the coordinated development of blood transfusion work across regions.
