From May 31 to June 4, 2025, the 35th Regional Congress of ISBT was held in Milan. This congress was co-organized by ISBT and SIMTI, with over 2,800 delegates from 104 countries participating.. Featuring 49 sessions, including plenary and parallel sessions, a total of 246 speakers made keynote speeches and/or oral presentations. Furthermore, the congress organized 7 seminars and facilitated 656 poster presentations for academic exchanges. A total of 77 enterprises participated in the exhibition. CSBT established a booth to showcase China's blood transfusion undertakings and remarkable achievements.

This marks the fourth time that the CSBT has exhibited in this congress, following its participation in the 2019 ISBT Congress in Bangkok, the 2023 ISBT Regional Congress in Cape Town, and the 2024 ISBT Congress. Through this exhibition, CSBT effectively showcased its dynamic progress to a broader international peers.

On the afternoon of June 2, ZHU Yongming, president of CSBT, and LIU Qingning, deputy secretary-general of CSBT, were invited to participate in the joint meeting of presidents of blood transfusion associations. In addition, on the afternoon of June 3, president ZHU participated in the ISBT General Assembly of Member Representatives, where he reviewed ISBT's annual work summary, financial report, and constitutional amendments.
