On July 2, the Annual Report on Development of China’s Blood Collection and Supply Industry (2025) (Blue Book) was officially launched during the 2025 Training Course on Innovative Progress and Application of Clinical Blood Transfusion. ZHU Yongming, President of CSBT, WANG Xuefeng; Editor-in-Chief of the Blue Book, Chair of the CSBT/T, and Director of the Clinical Transfusion Department at Ruijin Hospital; GENG Hongwu, Executive Editor-in-Chief of the Blue Book, and Deputy Director of the Medical and Health Research Center of Tsinghua University Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology; and participants from the national blood transfusion institutions attending the training course, participated in the launch event. HU Xiaoyu, Director of Anhui Blood Center and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Blue Book, presided over the event.
Firstly, President Zhu expressed his gratitude to the Editor-in-Chief and Executive Editor-in-Chief, all the editors for their massive efforts, as well as to Social Sciences Academic Press.
During the meeting, Editor-in-Chief WANG reviewed the compilation process of the Blue Book. He stated that the book was inseparable from the support of numerous experts, scholars, and colleagues. Furthermore, he extended his sincere gratitude to the editors, advisory experts, and editorial members.
Furthermore, Executive Editor-in-Chief GENG expressed his gratitude to the leaders and experts present and conveyed respect to all the experts involved in the compilation. He anticipated that the Blue Book would continue to fulfill its function as an industry think tank, thereby providing enhanced intellectual support for the high-quality advancement of China’s blood transfusion undertaking.
In addition, a lucky draw session was incorporated into the meeting, with the book WHO Clinical Blood Transfusion Training Course as the prize, which was reviewed by Chair WANG Xuefeng and translated by Director CAI Xiaohong. The prize winners posed for a group photograph.
