In the morning of June 5, 2012, the immunohematology colleagues from 13 provinces attended the conference of 2012 national rare blood screening project held at the Shanghai Blood Center 1607 Conference Room.
Qian Kaicheng, the deputy director of Shanghai Blood Center, made a speech to welcome the colleagues to attend this conference. He said, the national rare blood screening project, which involved a rare blood screening, identification, library and clinical applications, was under the “ADIS action” special fund of national eleventh five-year plan, and was ongoing funded from the eleventh five-year plan to the twelfth five-year plan. From 2011 to 2012, the opening of the rare blood type dedicated website provided a platform for the exchange of rare blood. At the last, he hoped that the rare blood screening project could be better and better, so as to promote the safety and efficacy of blood transfusions.
At the meeting, the representatives fervent discussed the questions and experiences in their work, and unanimously expressed the hope that the reasonable application of the blood and red blood cells could be further enhanced through exchanges and cooperation in this project.
