On February 7, 2017, Shanghai Blood Center (SBC) held its 2016 annual management review meeting. The center’s 2016 system operations were found to be sufficient, effective and appropriate. At the same meeting, the president of SBC expressed expectations for quality programs for the coming year: attaining accreditation from the AABB to become China's first AABB accredited blood collection and supply organization, and bringing international advanced management concepts and technical requirements into China.
