CITIC Organizes Delegation to Participate in 34th Annual NRL Workshop

The 34th Annual NRL Workshop on Infectious Diseases and NRL Workshop on Molecular Diagnostics was held at the Wrest Point Hotel in Hobart, Australia from 15-19 October 2017. China International Transfusion Infection Control (CITIC) organized a delegation to participate in the workshop. Seven persons from Shanghai Blood Center, Jiangsu Provincial Blood Center and Guangzhou Blood Center communicated with colleagues from Australia during the workshop. In addition, two persons have also been invited to give an oral presentation at the workshop.

Throughout the workshop, participants discussed topics on Emerging Diseases, Blood Screening, Public Health, and the Review and Evaluation of Current Infectious Diseases Testing. This is the sixth year that CITIC has organized the participation of Chinese colleagues in the NRL workshop. This helps Chinese blood banks increase international communication and improve the quality of blood screening.
