The 9th national congress of CSBT, an academic event attracting the most participants and representing the highest level and influence in blood transfusion in China, was grandly opened in Chongqing in the morning of November 1.   

Besides the plenary session, there were 32 parallel sessions and 7 satellite sessions. The congress mainly covered the construction and development of blood establishment, publicity and service of voluntary blood donation, blood quality management, clinical transfusion, transfusion-transmitted infection screening, discipline construction and scientific research, etc.

This congress had brought together representatives and experts from the whole country and also the United States, Canada and other countries and regions. The topics discussed on parallel sessions were innovative that it covered a wide range of advanced researches and techniques.
