Since June 27, 2019, the blood cost reimbursed in hospital service was initiated in Zhejiang province, which indicated that blood donors all over the province could enjoy cross-regional blood cost reimbursement in any involved hospitals.

According to Implementation Measures for Law of the People's Republic of China on Blood Donation in Zhejiang Province, blood donors or their relatives in need of blood can enjoy the right of blood cost reimbursement. In order to improve blood services, cross-regional blood cost reimbursement in hospital is carried out in Zhejiang from now on. When blood donors or their relatives are in need of blood in hospital, blood cost needn’t to be paid until the blood expense is reduced and exempted according to one-step blood cost reimbursement policy.

This measure not only relieve their financial pressure caused by payment of blood expenses in advance, and avoid their pain of running back and forth, but also eliminate the misunderstanding of “easy donation, hard reimbursement”. It definitely improves the sense of acquisition, honor and belonging of blood donors.
