In the mid of February, Chinese Society of Blood Transfusion(CSBT) and Shandong WEGO Group communicated with the Red Cross Society of Wuhan Branch to express the willing to donate an X-ray blood irradiator and a batch of sterilization and protective articles to Wuhan blood center. After the declaration of donation procedure, the donated materials arrived at Wuhan blood center on March 20.

Before the donation, CSBT had been paying attention to Wuhan in fighting the pandemic. The leadership of CSBT had called Wuhan blood center several times to know the difficulties and demands in blood collection and supply, and encourage Wuhan blood center to win the pandemic. WEGO had also been in frequent contact with Wuhan blood center to propose to help in fighting the pandemic and improving blood safety.
