Every year countries around the world come together to celebrate World Blood Donor Day on June 14th. The theme for World Blood Donor Day 2020 is Safe blood saves lives with the slogan  Give blood and make the world a healthier place.

CSBT has built an online live broadcast platform to celebrate World Blood Donor Day 2020, as well as to publicize blood donation and the spirit of love, humanity and dedication. Besides Hangzhou, the main national venue for WBDD 2020 China, altogether 48 blood establishments covering 23 provinces participated in the first online live show of Light up China with love that thousands of buildings and landmarks were lit up in 44 cities to express gratitude to voluntary blood donors.

At 8:00 p.m. on June 14, President ZHU Yongming called out the slogan Give blood and make the world a healthier place and announced the start of the live light show.  In the 40 minutes show, the official Tik Tok account of CSBT attracted 5,451 people watching the event and received 49,000 likes, also the Wechat Live received 263,879 times of watching and 36,000 thumbs-up.
