The 10th  National Congress of CSBT, hosted by CSBT, undertaken by Education Committee of CSBT, Institute of Blood Transfusion (Chinese Academy of Medical Science) and Tianjin Blood Center, and  co-organized by Tianjin Society of Blood Transfusion, was held in Tianjin from October 14 to 16, 2020. The biennial congress, attracting the most participants and representing the highest level and influence, plays an important role in promoting the development of blood transfusion in China.

The conference with a total of 3 plenary sessions, 22 parallel sessions and 6 satellite sessions lasted for 3 days and attracted more than 7,300 registered participants and over 120,000 times of online views. Eight conference reports, 2 guidance reports and 156 oral speeches were delivered and over 1,200 posters were displayed on the website. More than 20 topics were covered, including blood collection and supply service, blood quality and safety, laboratory technology, management of blood establishment, regulations and ethics of blood transfusion, clinical transfusion, transplantation, stem cells, cell therapy, information technology, plasma protein products, discipline construction, scientific research, etc.

A total of 1,648 effective manuscripts were submitted, exceeding the 1,354 manuscripts of the last Congress.

The next congress will be held in Dalian, Liaoning Province. We look forward to meet you at the 11th National Congress of CSBT in 2022.
