During the Spring Festival holiday, all the blood donation sites across the city of Tianjin welcomed more warmhearted donors than usual. According to the data collected by Tianjin Blood center, a total of 1196.5 Units (1 Unit equals to 200 ml ) of blood was donated by 676 citizens during this 7-day holiday, which has exceeded the amount in the same period of previous years.

Some of the donors interviewed during the donation expressed their wishes to do something beneficial to the society at the beginning of the year of the ox. "I didn't expect such a delightful experience to donate blood. Thumbs up to all the staff who stick to their posts during the Spring Festival." said by a donor. HUANG Xinlei, a student of Tianjin Normal University, told us that this was her second time of donation. Her understanding of blood donation was gained from her schoolmates, which has also made her a blood donation volunteer. Besides, she also appealed to the public that blood donation plays a critical role in life-saving for patients.
