On the memorable night of June 14, 2020, on the 1^st World Blood Donor Day (WBDD) Live Light Show, launched by CSBT and co-organized by 48 blood establishments, 44 cities across 23 provinces had witnessed hundreds of buildings and landmarks being lit up during the 40-minute live show, which had attracted 263,879 viewers and 36,000 likes on CSBT WeChat live streaming platform, and had been reported by nearly 120 media outlets all over the country.

On June 14 this year, the World Blood Donor Day slogan will be Give Blood and Keep the World Beating. So CSBT is now inviting its member institutions to attend this event.

At 20 o 'clock on June 14, this year’s light show will be launched in landmarks of every involved city. Those shining lights, alike the lives lit up by blood donors, pay tribute to all the blood donors. This year's campaign is going to be jointly organized and broadcast live by CSBT and Yangshipin, the 5G new media platform under China Media Group.

It is hoped that each involved establishment may take this themed event as an opportunity to advocacy, mobilization and health education of blood dontaion, so as to enhance citizens’ awareness and participation of voluntary blood donation and ensure a safe blood supply.
