On August 14 and 15, 2021, under the romantic atmosphere of Chinese Valentine’s Day, a blood drive themed on Dedication of Love was organized by Guangxi Blood Center. During the event, love and romance of couple donors were transmitted through blood, encouraging more people to participate in blood donation.

During these two days, enthusiasm of blood donors was as hot as the weather in August that a continuous stream of couple donors came to blood donation sites. Some of them were couples in love, some were husband and wife, and some were happy families. They devoted their love and blood to lighting up patients’ lives.

In addition to these couples, many others had also participated in the donation, warming the city of Liuzhou with their blood and love.

According to statistics, a total of 187,300mL of whole blood was collected from 529 donors, and 102 Units of apheresis platelets from 67 donors. During this activity, enthusiastic heroes showed their great love in this unique way, demonstrating Chinese’s traditional virtue of selfless dedication with practical actions, meanwhile alleviating the tension of clinical blood supply in Liuzhou.
