On June 14, 2022, the World Blood Donors Day, a blood donation propaganda squad on horseback, consisting of the staff of Regional Blood Station in Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and soldiers of Golog Independent Cavalry, stepped into the Yunbaoshan Ranch in the deep prairie to give a blood donation propaganda.

“I had donated blood in 2018. But I never expect you to ride so far by horse to promote blood donation here. It's not easy.” said by Ren Qing Cai Rang, a local herdsman, when he encountered with the squad.

Bilingual members of the squad explained the main contents of the Law of Blood Donation, such as the importance of blood to patients and blood expense reimbursement, in both mandarin and local dialect to the herdsmen. The other members measured blood pressure of them, and veterinarians from the cavalry treated sick yaks with veterinary medicine they took.

The establishment of the squad on horseback is aimed to spread the basic knowledge of blood donation throughout the prairie and eliminate knowledge blind area caused by traffic barriers. Golog Regional Blood Station will persist in the Old Tibetan Spirit and strive to compose a new chapter in its development history.
