Recently, a local voluntary blood donation service team called Brilliant Red was in service around the B. Duck themed blood donation vehicle in China Three Gorges University. Volunteers promote and encouraged numbers of students to participate in blood donation, and thus spread positive energy and assist to build a more civilized city.

At the site, Ms. HE Cuizhi, a 47 years old volunteer, along with her teammates were busy popularizing the blood donation knowledge and servicing donors, encouraging many students to donate blood. Since her first blood donation in 2018, she spent almost every weekend in blood donation volunteer services at China Three Gorges University, building deep friendships with students. She expressed, "Blood donation could not only bring hope to lives, but also retrieve happiness and joy to lots of families. It’s very meaningful."

The Brilliant Red service team was established in the year of 2009, carrying out a series of voluntary services on blood donation, including donating blood, donor recruitment and services, stem cell donation and other public welfare activities. Every volunteer sticks to Volunteer When You Have Time, Donate When You Are Qualified. With the development of the team, till now it has attracted more than 80,000 blood donors and 1,671 core members of voluntary service team, who serviced over 200,000 volunteer hours, and donated over 4 million milliliters of blood.
