New Book Releases: Haemovigilance Report of CSBT 2021


In September, 2022, Haemovigilance Report of CSBT 2021, compiled by Working Party on Haemovigilance, CSBT (CSBT/HV), was formally published. The book was jointly written by Chongqing Blood Center, Fujian Blood Center and the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, with Mr. HE Tao, chair of CSBT/HV, as the chief editor. As the second haemovigilance report on sentinel points in China, it was aimed to review the current status of haemovigilance work in certain regions through data monitoring and analysis, and also summarize the problems then put forward suggestions, so as to set reference for future haemovigilance popularization.

 

This report has analyzed 15,551 pieces of data collected from 164 domestic sentinel points, including 81 blood establishments and 83 hospitals from Chongqing and 23 other provinces, as well as 6 regional sentinel centers.

 

The full text of the report was nearly 80,000 words and was divided into 3 parts: Blood Establishments, Hospitals and Progress of Haemovigilance in China and Abroad. This report was an exploration and attempt in the haemovigilance field, which was expected to bring better understandings on haemovigilance work, and to encourage more establishments joining the monitor system, thereby guarding the blood safety.
