On June 14 2023, World Blood Donor Day (WBDD) again be celebrated throughout the world. The theme of 2023 WBDD is “Gather energy, donate blood, and convey love”, and the slogan is “Give blood, share life”.

At 8 p.m. on June 14, the light show for WBDD jointly hosted by CSBT, CCTV new media platform, and Shenzhen Sharing Network Co., Ltd. was broadcast live on CCTV channel of CSBT website.

At this year, the proposal for the light show received an enthusiastic response. Both the participating units and cities had increased significantly. A total of 74 units from 68 cities in 26 provinces attended the campaign. Among them, 64 cities displayed light shows with touching slogans to pay tribute to blood donors, allowing more people to feel their love and courage. The shining and bright lights resembled the beautiful souls of voluntary blood donors. Each bright light illuminated the life of  each patient!

This three-hour broadcast had garnered over one million viewers and interactions.
