Three professionals from Mongolia national blood transfusion medical center were trained in Shanghai



In accordance with the requirements of Mongolia National Blood Transfusion Medical Center, three Mongolian professionals were trained in Shanghai Blood Center for three weeks from June 3rd to 20th, 2013. As World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Blood Transfusion, Shanghai Blood Center is making a good effort to accelerate the development of transfusion medicine and promote the exchange and cooperation among different countries. This training took a solid step forward of Shanghai Blood Center in upholding the WHO strategy for blood safety and promoting blood donation education and blood safety in Western Pacific area. 


On the opening ceremony on the morning of June, 3rd, Zhu Yongming, Director of Shanghai Blood Center, warmly welcomed the three professionals led by Alimaa Tuya, deputy director of Mongolia National Blood Transfusion Medical Center. He also introduced basic situation and main work of our center. Then Alimaa Tuya made a brief introduction of Mongolia National Blood Transfusion Medical Center. After a gift exchange, the two sides discussed the topics that they interested in, especially the topic of immunohematology that was the key point of this training. The opening ceremony was chaired by Zhu Ziyan, Deputy Director of Shanghai Institute of Blood Transfusion. Qian Kaicheng, Director of Shanghai Institute of Blood Transfusion, Zhang Xiongmin, Director of Research and Education Coordinating Office and Xiang Dong, Director of Testing Center attended the opening ceremony. 


Accompanied by Jin Ye from Research and Education Coordinating Office and Ma Guohao from testing center, the delegation visited our showroom and various departments and made exchanges with department managers in the afternoon. They got great harvest and looked forward to the study and exchange in the next three weeks.
