On September 26, the Blue Book of Blood Collection and Supply Services-Annual Report on Development of China’s Blood Collection and Supply Industry (2024), was officially released at a parallel session of the 12^th National Congress of CSBT. ZHU Yongming, the president of CSBT, ZHANG Rongjiang, the chief editor of the book,  GAO Zhenhua , the deputy chief editor of the Ecological Civilization Branch of Social Sciences Academic Press, along with numerous industry colleagues, jointly witnessed this significant moment.

At the press conference, president ZHU expounded on the value of the Blue Book, and indicated that the Blue Book is a research report composed by industry experts on the basis of a considerable quantity of professional data, holding high authority and professionalism. Moreover, he conveyed his gratitude to the editorial committee and the publisher for their meticulous efforts, and revealed that the upcoming year’s Blue Book would be more concentrated on the depth and breadth of the clinical blood transfusion specialty.

Chief editor ZHANG introduced the compilation process of the book. He maintained that the 2024 edition has undergone multiple phases and has ultimately been finalized, encompassing 30 industry reports and being accomplished by over 80 experts. This Blue Book offers a comprehensive delineation of the blood transfusion business in 2023 from multiple viewpoints, furnishing valuable references for the industrial advancement.

During the speech, deputy chief editor GAO initially expressed that the Social Sciences Academic Press was privileged to be involved in the book’s publication. He emphasized that the continuous publication of the Blue Book has played an important role in promoting the development of China's blood transfusion business and the disciplinary construction of blood transfusion medical. The press will consistently cooperate with CSBT to build a better future for the Blue Book.

After three leaders’ speech, they jointly unveiled the new book, indicating the formal emergence of the Annual Report on Development of China’s Blood Collection and Supply Industry (2024). In addition, CSBT would disseminate the book to each relevant institution and individual in gratitude for their support.

The release of this new book not only demonstrated the latest development achievements of China's blood transfusion industry but also provided a platform for peers to communicate, infusing new energy into the development of blood transfusion undertaking.
