On November 20, an annual project team meeting on the Blue Book of Blood Services was held by CSBT. Members of the project team (2024), including GENG Hongwu, HU Wei, HU Xiaoyu, LI Zhiqiang, LIN Junjie, LIU Qingning, LUO Qun (online), WANG Xuefeng, and ZHANG Rongjiang, attended the meeting. President ZHU Yongming chaired the meeting.

Firstly, president ZHU provided a comprehensive overview of the 2024 Blue Book's overall status and offered recommendations for improvement. He proposed that the 2025 edition should focus more on thematic reports concerning clinical blood transfusion. Additionally, he extended his gratitude to the editorial team of the 2024 Blue Book and conveyed his anticipation for the successful compilation of the 2025 edition.

At the meeting, ZHANG Rongjiang, the chief editor, reviewed the key points and insights gained from the compilation process. GENG Hongwu, the executive editor in chief, summarized the progress and outcomes of the compilation and publication. Moreover, LIU Qingning presented the financial settlement for 2023 and the promotional and distribution plans for the 2024 edition.

WANG Xuefeng, chief editor of the China Blood Transfusion Industry Development Report (2025), presented the proposed outline and preliminary publishing plan at this meeting. Subsequently, the meeting engaged in a thorough discussion, leading to the initial determination of the thematic focus for each section of the report. The meeting mandates that, for the upcoming year, while maintaining the high-quality standards and adhering to publication schedules, the promotion of the Blue Books must be conducted in accordance with the requirements set by the Publishing House of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
