At the outset of the new year, a group of leaders, including ZHU Yongming, the president of CSBT, LIU Qingning, the deputy secretary-general, YU Xuehua, the president of Hubei Province Blood Transfusion Association (HBBT), and YANG Yuanyuan, the director of HBBT office visited the Hubei Jiangxia Laboratory. During the visit, they held in-depth discussions with Professor ZHANG Dingyu, the director of Jiangxia Laboratory, focusing on critical topics such as advancements in cell therapy and strategic development within the blood industry. Previously serving as the director of Wuhan Blood Center, professor ZHANG has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to the blood collection and supply industry, maintaining close ties with his peers in the field.

In September, 2024, Professor ZHANG was invited to attend the 12^th National Congress of CSBT and present the keynote report. Besides, he is a strong advocate of the CSBT Voice Unison Initiative. In last November, in his capacity as a recipient of the national honorary title People's Hero, a blood donor, and a former blood professional, he participated in filming the CSBT's public welfare promotional video Saving Lives, We are Together, which highlighted the significance of blood donation and inspired more people to participate in blood donation. During the visit, president ZHU expressed his gratitude to Professor ZHANG for his unwavering support of CSBT initiatives and wished smooth progress in scientific research and application development at the Jiangxia Laboratory.
