On December 27, 2024, the 15^th Strengthening Foundation Training Course on Clinical Blood Transfusion, was held in Zaozhuang, Shandong Province. The course was organized by the CSBT, and co-hosted by the Shandong Society of Blood Transfusion (SDBT), Health Commission of Zaozhuang City, and Zaozhuang Central Blood Station.

At the opening ceremony, CSBT president ZHU Yongming delivered an online speech, welcoming all participants and expressing his gratitude to the supporting institutions. He indicated that this training course has been held for 14 sessions, facilitating the improvement of professional proficiency in blood transfusion for front-line staff across regions. Fully funded by CSBT's designated budget, the program imposes no registration fees on participants. It is hoped that the training program will empower trainees to effectively address practical challenges in their work.

During the course, experts delivered lectures on topics such as indications for blood transfusion, quality control of blood typing, blood supply and transfusion support at fundamental clinical institutions, and public sentiment management. The training course was meticulously designed to address the specific needs of blood collection, supply, and clinical blood transfusion in Zaozhuang city, drawing over 60 participants from local hospitals and blood establishments.

Since 2016, CSBT has organized 15 Strengthening Foundation Training Course, benefiting over 800 professionals involved in elementary blood services and significantly improving the standardization of technical management for clinical blood transfusion. Moving forward, CSBT will continue to facilitate the advancement of clinical blood transfusion practices in primary healthcare institutions.
