On December 11, the 2025 National Conference on Blood Management and National Commendation Congress for Voluntary Blood Donation was held in Beijing. During the conference, distinguished individuals and groups who had made contributions to voluntary blood donation were honored, and arrangements were made for future blood management work. HE Wei, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and President of the Red Cross Society of China(RCSC), attended the conference. ZHENG Zhe, Vice Minister of the National Health Commission, WANG Bin, Vice President of RCSC, and CHEN Chunming, Deputy Director of the Health Bureau of the Logistic Support Department of the Central Military Commission, attended and addressed the conference.

This conference acknowledged the achievements of China’s voluntary blood donation initiatives, extended congratulations to the honored individuals and institutions, and expressed gratitude to all blood donors, volunteers, and citizens who support the blood service.

It was emphasized that all regions should recognize the tight balance in blood supply, continue strengthening organizational mobilization and collaboration, safeguard blood donors’ rights and interests, improve clinical blood utilization management, ensure safe blood supply, and advance China’s voluntary blood donation initiatives.

In addition, during the meeting, representatives of award winners and officials from health commissions delivered speeches to share their experiences. Present at the meeting were officials from relevant departments, including the Work Committee for Central and State Organs, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, as well as responsible persons from provincial health commissions.
