On December 11, 2025, the 17^th Grass-Roots Training Course on Clinical Blood Transfusion was held in Kaifeng. The course was organized by CSBT and co-hosted by the Kaifeng Municipal Health Commission and Kaifeng Regional Blood Station, aiming to further standardize clinical blood transfusion practices, promote scientific, safe and rational blood use, improve clinical blood transfusion, enhance the service of blood establishments, and facilitate the construction of clinical blood transfusion disciplines in primary-level hospitals. LIU Ying, Director of Heilongjiang Blood Center, DONG Wen'an, Director of Henan Red Cross Blood Center, LIU Jianhong, Director of Kaifeng Municipal Health Commission, LI Zhendong, Director of Kaifeng Regional Blood Station, attended the opening ceremony. And LI Xinmin, Deputy Director of the Kaifeng Municipal Health Commission, presided over the ceremony.

Nearly 100 professionals engaged in blood transfusion services from medical institutions, as well as peers from Kaifeng Regional Blood Station, participated in this training course.

Since 2016, CSBT has held 17 sessions of the Grass-Roots Training Course on Clinical Blood Transfusion. The course is free and has benefited more than 1,000 directors and professionals of blood transfusion departments (blood banks) in primary-level hospitals. Besides, it has standardized the technical management of clinical blood transfusion in regional blood stations and hospitals, thereby making a significant contribution to balancing the development of clinical blood transfusion in China.

In the future, CSBT will continue to provide training for key professionals, and contribute to enhancing the clinical blood transfusion capacity of primary-level medical institutions in China.
