Guardian Angel, Borderless Love —A Blood Donation Campaign for Foreign Nationals Held in Shanghai


On December 14, 2025, the blood donation campaign for foreign nationals, named Guardian Angel, Borderless Love was held in Shanghai. This event was jointly organized by the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC) and the Shanghai Blood Center(SBC), co-hosted by Bloodline, a volunteer group composed of foreign blood donors. During the event, During the event, over 70 foreign participants from around the world gathered, conveying the hope of life through blood donations.

Bloodline has consistently upheld the principles of Joyful Donation, Joyful Volunteerism over the years, actively promoting voluntary blood donation among foreign residents in Shanghai. At this charity event, volunteers from diverse nationalities presented a series of performances, including dynamic dances and melodious musical pieces. In a joyful atmosphere, the public welfare message that blood donation saves lives was conveyed.

"This is my 60th blood donation to Shanghai. I feel profoundly honored to contribute to the cause of voluntary blood donation in Shanghai." stated Mr. Ashish, the leader of Bloodline during his blood donation process.Over 20 years ago, Ashish relocated to Shanghai to pursue a career as a surgeon. During his practice, he observed that numerous foreign residents in the city faced problems to blood donation due to various constraints. In response, he collaborated with a group of foreign friends as blood donation advocates and organizers. With the help of SBC, Bloodline was established. Today, this group has become an iconic representative of Shanghais public welfare sector. It has mobilized thousands of foreign blood donors, advancing Shanghais voluntary blood donation business. Furthermore, this event demonstrated the expatriate community’s sense of responsibility toward urban public welfare, thereby contributing to a warmer and better Shanghai.
